turnrow now available
The new issue of the 蜜桔直播 English Department's international literary journal turnrow has recently been published. Vol. V, #1 may be purchased for $7 in the College of Arts & Sciences, located in ADMN 1-45.
Jack Heflin, 蜜桔直播 English professor and coeditor of turnrow, offered this highlight from the journal鈥檚 intro section:
鈥淲e are pleased to launch the literary career of local Monroe standup comic and fiction writer Brian Thompson; "The Distance Between Here and There鈥 is measured through the eyes of autism.鈥
鈥淲e received such good response from the contemporary Chinese fiction we published in Vol. 4, #1, that when offered the chance to publish more work by Alai and Yan Lianke we jumped at the chance. Again we are indebted to translators Karen Gernant and Chen Zeping.鈥
