蜜桔直播 Trombone Ensemble and Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble performance April 22
Musical delights await audience members Wednesday, April 22, as the University of Louisiana at Monroe Trombone Ensemble and Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble begin their performance at 7:30 p.m. in Brown Auditorium.
Assistant Professor of Music Micah Everett, D.M.A., will conduct.
The 蜜桔直播 Trombone Ensemble will play a transcription of a piece from 鈥淭he Creation鈥� by Franz Josef Haydn: 鈥淎chieved is the Glorious Work,鈥� arranged by Donald Miller.
Miler鈥檚 arrangement of 鈥淎doramus Te, Christe鈥� by Ottorino Gasparini is also on the program, along with 鈥淭he Great Lakes Octet鈥� by Eric Ewazen.
The 蜜桔直播 Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble will play a transcription from 鈥淭he Planets鈥� by Gustav Holst, titled 鈥淢ars: The Bringer of War,鈥� which is arranged by David Butler. They will also perform 鈥淩icercar del Primo Tuono鈥� by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina by way of Tim Olt鈥檚 arrangement, and 鈥淒ances,鈥� and 鈥淧ower鈥� by John Stevens.
The Combined Ensembles will play 鈥淩olling Thunder鈥� by Henry Fillmore, by way of Everett鈥檚 arrangement.
